For Foreign (Non-Japanese) Passport holders, it takes about 8-11 days or more to process visa applications (depending on visa category applied).
All Japanese Applicants and Travel Agents should apply for visas in their respective Jurisdiction; e.g. applicants of Tokyo jurisdiction to apply for visa in Tokyo and that of Osaka jurisdiction to apply for visa in Osaka,as much as possible.
The passport has to be valid for 6-months on the date of application with at least 2 blank visa pages. Applicants are advised to check their passports validity before submitting their applications.
Non-refundable/non-changeable tickets or reservations should not be purchased until all visas and passports are secured and in your possession.
