Important Notes:　

1. Visa processing takes about 15 days for Japanese passport holders and about 3 weeks for non Japanese passport holders depending on type of visa applied and required documents submitted.(excluding Saturday,Sunday,Indian Holiday)
2. An additional fee of JPY 500 will be charged to applicants (Japanese nationals), who do not belong to Consular Jurisdiction of Tokyo. Please click here to refer Consular jurisdiction.
3. All applicants must submit their contact phone number (Land line or Mobile) & Email address.
4. All passports and amount sent by post are at the senders’ risk. IVAC uses registered post for dispatch of processed applications but is not responsible for any loss of documents. Visa fees, Handling charges are not refundable.
5. In-complete documentation and/or in-correct visa fee or postage stamps may result in the application being returned un-processed. In case of any doubts and wanting clarifications, applicants may either call (03) 5978-3910  or send e-mail to indiavisaatjapan@yahoo.co.jp
6. Verbal information of passport detail is not acceptable. Please keep the copy of passport before sending to the Visa Center.

Tourist visa for Japanese nationals

1. Passport, with a minimum validity of Six months on the date of applying visa and beyond the period for which visa is being sought with at least two blank visa pages. It is advisable to have passport validity of 6 months when landing at any port in India.
2. One photograph  (Passport-sized  45mm X 35mm and signed on the back side). Please refer to Photo Specification.
3. Completed Visa Application form (A4 size on both sides) signed and dated. Please view Sample Form (not for formal application use)
4. Self addressed envelope (Big enough to contain passport and few papers) with postage stamps of Y560 for Registered mail.
5. Appropriate fees (Please refer to Fees/Charges ).
   
   

Tourist visa for foreign (non-Japanese) nationals

In addition to documents mentioned for Japanese nationals in Para 1 to 5, please also include the following photo copies (A4 size).

1. Passport particulars page - the page which carries photograph and personal details
2. Japan visa page
3. Alien Registration Card-both front  and back sides  (If applicant possesses one)
4. The latest India visa page (prior to this application) for the applicants who have obtained India’s visa before.
5. Chinese & Nigerian passport holders must submit the Itinerary issued by airlines or travel agency and financial proof by submitting bank passbook or bank certificate when applying for ‘Tourist Visa’.　  
6. Afghanistan passport holders must submit the Original Note Verbal issued from Embassy of Afghanistan when applying for all kinds Indian Visa.
